Situation at the front after 488 days of Russian aggression

The 488th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has come to an end. The Ukrainian Armed Forces report on the situation as of the morning of June 26.

Over the past day, the enemy launched a missile attack on the territory of Ukraine – using 6 anti-aircraft guided missiles from S-300 against civilian targets in Zaporizhzhia region. It also carried out 33 air strikes and fired over 45 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, civilians were injured, residential buildings, commercial and administrative buildings, and private vehicles were damaged. Russian terrorists also launched an air strike against Ukraine at night.

The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Liman, Bakhmut and Maryinka directions – 36 combat engagements took place during the day.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. He tried unsuccessfully to regain the lost position near Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the last day, the aviation of the defense forces carried out 8 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel. Also, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 6 reconnaissance UAVs of operational and tactical level.

During the day, missile and artillery units struck 2 control points, 3 areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment, 4 ammunition depots, an electronic warfare station, 10 artillery units at firing positions and 3 other important enemy targets.
