Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest kitchen innovation, the Mijia Smart Gas Stove 3 Max, marking a significant step forward in smart home cooking technology. This new appliance is positioned as Mijia’s first AI-controlled gas stove, packed with advanced safety features and enhanced cooking performance. It is now available for pre-order, with a post-subsidy price of 2299 yuan.
Advanced AI Safety Features
The Mijia Smart Gas Stove 3 Max prioritizes user safety with its integrated AI capabilities. A key feature is the AI anti-scald protection, which utilizes a 500℃ pressure-sensitive titanium alloy probe on the right burner. This probe, combined with an AI temperature sensing algorithm, can detect dry-burning and empty-pot scenarios in real-time. Upon identification, the stove automatically cuts off the gas supply, preventing potential accidents. This system also offers connectivity with the Mijia App, providing timely alerts to users.
Further enhancing safety is the new ‘Off-Stove Guardian’ radar. This dynamic radar system covers a 0.9-meter range in front of the stove, accurately detecting the presence of a person. If a person moves away from the stove, it automatically enters a monitoring mode. This includes a 30-minute audible reminder and, after 60 minutes of inactivity, an automatic shut-off. For those who are remotely away, the Mijia App can also send notifications.
Smart Cooking and Performance
Beyond safety, the Mijia Smart Gas Stove 3 Max offers intelligent cooking functions designed to simplify meal preparation. It features independent timing for both burners, allowing users to set timers ranging from 1 to 180 minutes for each side. Once the set time is reached, the respective burner automatically turns off, making it ideal for slow-cooking or simmering dishes without constant supervision.
The right burner also includes a real-time pot temperature display. Accessible via a quick-access button, this feature allows users to monitor the cooking temperature directly, providing better control over frying, stir-frying, and other cooking techniques, thereby reducing the chances of burning or overcooking food.
Powerful and Efficient Burners
The stove boasts a powerful 5200W high flame on both burners, utilizing a dual-channel oxygen-boosting burner system with 154 precisely distributed flame holes to ensure stable and even heat distribution across the pot base. The burner caps are constructed from forged brass, a material known for its high-temperature resistance and durability, ensuring they won’t easily deform with prolonged use.
Addressing cooking comfort, the Mijia Smart Gas Stove 3 Max features an upgraded three-layer air-cushioned furnace rack. This design incorporates windproof and heat-insulating structures that significantly reduce the temperature around the stove edges, reportedly lowering it by up to 22℃. This makes for a more comfortable cooking experience, especially during warmer months.
Energy Efficiency and Easy Cleaning
In terms of energy efficiency, the new gas stove meets China’s national standard Grade 1 energy efficiency rating, achieving a thermal efficiency of 75%. This represents a 12% improvement over previous models. Xiaomi estimates that for a typical household, this efficiency could lead to savings of approximately 980 yuan in gas costs over an 8-year period.
Cleaning is made simpler with an AG micro-crystalline glass panel coated with a nano-lotus leaf-inspired hydrophobic and oleophobic layer. This surface effectively repels oil and water, reducing residue and making it easy to wipe clean. The panel is also designed to be highly durable, resistant to fingerprints, and features an anti-glare finish.
Installation and Compatibility
Installation flexibility is addressed through a height-adjustable base design. This allows the stove to be compatible with a wide range of existing countertop cut-out dimensions, typically ranging from (630-710)mm in width and (330-400)mm in depth. This feature aims to simplify the replacement process for users upgrading from older stoves, often eliminating the need for costly countertop modifications.
The Mijia Smart Gas Stove 3 Max is priced at 2704 yuan, but with government subsidies and trade-in options, the effective price drops to 2299 yuan. This offer is part of the ongoing digital and home appliance government subsidy program in China, which supports eligible purchases with significant discounts.
