In January, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra in different markets. The lineup is also expected to include a fourth model called the Galaxy S24 FE, which will replace last year’s Galaxy S23 FE. Although there is no official confirmation of the S24 FE yet, it is expected to be officially unveiled in October this year, just like the S23 FE, which was unveiled in October 2023. Long before the expected launch, whistleblower Connor leaked the first details about the device.
Main features of Samsung Galaxy S24 FE (rumored)
According to the source, the Galaxy S24 FE will have 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. It will be available in two storage options: 218 GB (UFS 3.1) and 256 GB (UFS 4.0). The device will be equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery. While the leak doesn’t say anything about charging capabilities, it is expected to offer 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, just like its predecessor.
It goes without saying that the Galaxy S24 FE will have an AMOLED display, but the leaker is not sure about its size. Other details of the smartphone are kept secret.
The S23 FE was released with Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets in different markets. However, another X-post report from a whistleblower suggests that the S24 FE will have an Exynos chip for the global market.
He also claimed that Samsung‘s Z-series foldable phones will be powered by Snapdragon chipsets, while the S-series will only have Exynos chipsets on board. As for the upcoming Galaxy A-series phones, the source claims that they will be equipped with MediaTek and Exynos chipsets. This also seems to be the case for the M-series and F-series phones, which are nothing more than modified versions of the A-series phones.
