Situation at the front after 493 days of Russian aggression

Yesterday, the enemy launched 8 missile and 58 air strikes, fired more than 50 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops, military and civilian infrastructure facilities in Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

In particular, as a result of a missile strike by an Iskander-K ground-launched cruise missile on a school in Serhiivka, Donetsk region, 2 civilians were killed and 6 wounded, the school was completely destroyed. A family with a child was injured as a result of Russian occupants’ shelling of a residential building in Antonivka, Kherson region. In total, about 30 civilian houses were damaged.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut and Maryinka directions, heavy fighting continues. There were 22 combat engagements during the day.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells at about 15 localities.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. He unsuccessfully tried to conduct offensive actions in the area of Rivne, suffered losses.

Against the backdrop of successful combat operations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and due to significant enemy losses in manpower, the number of desertions in the units of the Russian occupation forces is increasing, with more and more units leaving combat positions without permission. In particular, about 50 ethnic Dagestani servicemen from the Caspian flotilla near the village of Dorozhnyanka in Zaporizhzhia region refused to participate in hostilities. The Russian refuseniks put the weapons available to the unit out of service.

At the same time, the Russian occupiers continue to use civilians as human shields. For example, in the village of Topolivka, Kherson region, the Russian military command is settling its servicemen in private houses inhabited by civilians.

Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces carried out 12 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and 1 strike on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile system.

Missile and artillery units struck 1 control point, 6 areas of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, 3 ammunition depots, 24 artillery pieces at firing positions and an enemy electronic warfare station.
