Based on the results of the Anti-Shahid Drone Hackathon project competition, Ukraine is allocating $3 million for the best developments against Iranian Shaheds.
The Army of Drones brought together developers, engineers, cyber specialists, and enthusiasts at the Anti-Shahed hackathon to find new effective solutions to protect Ukrainian skies from enemy UAVs.
50 teams presented their innovative developments to leading military experts. The three most effective and efficient projects won.
The teams behind these developments will sign contracts worth $1 million each and will be able to scale production. And very soon, these technological solutions will be destroying enemy UAVs and saving Ukrainian lives.
“There will be fewer Shaheds in the Ukrainian sky, as the developers have received $3 million for the best systems to counter enemy drones,” said Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to him, the Army of Drones continues to do everything possible to ensure that as many Ukrainian drones as possible are at the front. At the same time, blockers are being removed, conditions are being created for the development of the UAV market, operators are being trained, etc.
“We need to do the same with the development of Ukrainian sky protection systems. I am sure that the hackathon has become a powerful incentive for this,” added Fedorov.
The Anti-Shahеd Drone Hackathon was initiated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Infrastructure as part of the Army of Drones project and is aimed at finding innovative and effective solutions to combat enemy drones.
