Alienware has just released a couple of new laptops under the Aurora brand. They are relatively budget-friendly and look like a great alternative to the more expensive Area 51 line. These are the first Aurora laptops that the company has released in almost two decades, as the brand was reserved mainly for desktops.
There is the Alienware 16 Aurora and 16X Aurora. The base 16 laptop starts at just $1150, which is a good price for a dedicated gaming laptop. Entry-level specs include a 5-core Intel processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM.

However, the laptop can be equipped with an Intel Core 9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, 32 GB of RAM, and 2 TB of internal storage. All configurations are certified for Dolby Audio and feature Cryo-Tech’s proprietary cooling technology. The 16-inch screen has a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

The Alienware 16X Aurora line of laptops is a bit more powerful, as all of these models are equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors. The maximum amount of RAM is 64 GB, and the maximum storage capacity is 4 TB. The GPU options, however, remain the same. The same goes for the overall design. We currently do not have prices for this line.
The new Aurora laptops join the revived Alienware Area 51 line. These models are more powerful and more expensive, as their price starts at $3,200. They have a glass bottom that allows users to see the fans in action, so that’s something.
