The 16th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China 2026) is officially scheduled to take place in Zhuhai, Guangdong, from December 7th to 13th, 2026. The announcement was made today, October 13th, at a press conference held in Beijing, where details about the upcoming event were shared.
Record-Breaking Scale and International Collaboration
This year’s airshow is poised to break previous records in terms of exhibition scale and international cooperation. The event will feature a new ‘one exhibition, three zones’ layout, designed to showcase China’s open approach, innovative vitality, and development confidence in the aerospace sector to the world. It aims to further promote global aerospace exchange and cooperation.
More than just a global aerospace gathering, the airshow will also be a significant international defense event. Various new types of equipment from the Chinese Air Force and Navy are expected to make their debut, presenting a comprehensive picture of the nation’s new quality combat capabilities. This display is intended to highlight the People’s Liberation Army’s open and confident image, demonstrating its commitment to safeguarding peace.
Expanded Exhibition Space and Global Participation
Organizers have revealed an expanded exhibition area, with indoor space covering nearly 150,000 square meters. The outdoor exhibition and support areas have been increased to 335,000 square meters, accommodating dynamic flight performances. To date, over 1,100 enterprises from nearly 50 countries and regions have confirmed their participation, bringing more than 3,000 pieces of equipment. Approximately 10% of the exhibits will be making their debut at the event.
Stellar Aerial Performances
The aerial performance lineup is a major highlight for Airshow China 2026. Over 170 aircraft have been registered for participation in the main exhibition area, setting a new record for the number of participating aircraft. The Russian Aerospace Forces’ “Knights” aerobatic team has officially signed on, and the UAE Air Force’s “Fursan” aerobatic team will also be performing. This marks the second time since 2016 that two foreign military aerobatic teams will perform at the Zhuhai Airshow, joining the Chinese Air Force’s “August 1st” aerobatic team for a spectacular “ballet in the sky.”
