ZOTAC has officially launched its new ZBOX C Series nano mini PCs, powered by Intel’s “Wildcat Lake” processors and featuring a fanless, passive cooling design. These compact systems are engineered for silent operation and efficient performance, making them suitable for a variety of home and office environments.
Introducing the ZBOX CI431, CI451, and CI471 nano
The new lineup includes three models: the ZBOX CI431 nano, ZBOX CI451 nano, and ZBOX CI471 nano. These models are equipped with Intel Core processors from the “Wildcat Lake” generation. Specifically, users can choose between the Core 3 304, Core 5 320, and Core 7 350 processors, offering a range of performance options to suit different needs.
Designed with a compact form factor, each ZBOX C Series nano unit measures 204×129×68 mm, with a total volume of 1.79 liters. The fanless nature of these mini PCs ensures a completely silent user experience, eliminating the noise typically associated with computer fans. This makes them ideal for quiet workspaces, media centers, or any setting where noise is a concern.
Key Features and Connectivity
Inside, these mini PCs boast a single DDR5-6400 SO-DIMM memory slot, allowing for memory upgrades. For storage, they feature an M.2 2280 slot supporting PCIe Gen4 ×4 NVMe SSDs, providing fast data access and system responsiveness.
Connectivity is a strong point for the new ZBOX C Series nano. They come equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless capabilities, ensuring high-speed wireless networking and stable peripheral connections. For wired networking, a 2.5GbE RJ-45 port is included on the rear panel.
The front panel offers versatile connectivity options, including:
- 2 x Thunderbolt 4 ports
- 1 x USB-A 10Gbps port
- 1 x 3.5mm audio jack (2-in-1)
The rear panel further expands connectivity with:
- 1 x DisplayPort 2.0
- 1 x HDMI 2.0b
- 1 x USB-A 10Gbps port
- 3 x USB-A 480Mbps ports
- 1 x 2.5GbE RJ-45 port
The inclusion of Thunderbolt 4 ports offers high-speed data transfer and display output capabilities, while the combination of USB-A ports in various speeds caters to a wide array of peripherals. The dual display outputs (DisplayPort 2.0 and HDMI 2.0b) allow for multi-monitor setups, enhancing productivity.
Performance and Cooling Innovation
The adoption of Intel’s “Wildcat Lake” processors, combined with DDR5 memory support, suggests that these mini PCs will offer a significant performance uplift compared to previous generations. The passive cooling design is a testament to ZOTAC’s engineering prowess in managing thermal output efficiently without relying on active cooling components. This not only ensures silence but also potentially increases the longevity of the system by reducing moving parts that can fail.
The ZBOX C Series nano mini PCs are poised to be a compelling option for users seeking a powerful, compact, and completely silent computing solution. Their blend of modern processing power, fast storage and networking options, and extensive connectivity makes them a versatile choice for various applications, from everyday computing to more demanding tasks in a quiet environment.
