Vivo has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming 5G smartphone Y200i. The smartphone will appear on the Chinese market on April 20. However, the Y200i has already appeared on China Telecom’s website, where you can find out everything you need to know about the device.
In addition, today Vivo showed the design and color scheme of the smartphones in its teaser. According to the official poster, Vivo Y200i 5G will be available in three colors: Glacier White, Starry Night Black, and Haohai Blue.
In terms of design, the phone boasts flat bezels with a round camera module on the back that houses two cameras (a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera) along with an LED flash. The fingerprint sensor seems to be placed on the side of the phone.
On the front, the Y200i 5G features a large 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with a perforation for the 8-megapixel front camera. Although the listing confirms Full HD+ resolution, details on the high refresh rate have not yet been revealed.
Under the hood, the Y200i 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, which is paired with OriginOS 4, based on the latest Android 14 operating system.
In terms of memory, you’ll have three configurations: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, and the top-of-the-line variant with 12GB of RAM paired with 512GB of storage.
A 6000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support ensures that the phone can operate all day long. The smartphone also has IP64 protection.
Price and availability
Vivo Y200i 5G is available in three variants starting at CNY1,299 (approximately USD180) for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is expected to cost around CNY 1599 (approximately USD 220), while the top-of-the-line model with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage could cost CNY 1799 (approximately USD 250).
