Vivo Y38 5G is reportedly one of three phones the brand is currently working on, along with the Vivo Y03s and Vivo Y03t. The smartphone has already appeared on the Bluetooth SIG, CQC, and Geekbench websites. Now 91mobiles has spotted the Vivo Y38 5G on the IMDA and NCC certification sites. The latest observations reveal the phone’s design.
Vivo Y38 5G design, key specifications leaked
- The Vivo Y38 5G has the model number V2343, as we saw in the previous report. The same device appeared on the IMDA and NCC certification sites.
- The IMDA certificate confirms that the Vivo Y38 5G will come with 5G and NFC support. The smartphone supports the following 5G bands: n1, n3, n7, n8, n28, n38, n41, and n78. The NCC certificate, on the other hand, contains a set of images revealing the Vivo Y38 5G design from all angles. The phone has rounded edges with a perforated display.
- The USB Type-C port, headphone jack, and speaker grille are located on the bottom, and the volume rocker and power button are on the side.
- The rear camera module is round with two sensors with LED flash and something similar to Vivo’s Aura Light ring.
- The NCC listing also suggests that the Vivo Y38 5G will feature a 6000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. This is based on the model numbers of the Vivo Y38’s charging adapter and battery. The same was also noticed in the Bluetooth SIG listing.
- The smartphone will be available in two variants with 8 GB of RAM + 128 GB and 256 GB of storage expandable up to 1 TB via a microSD card slot.
In Geekbench, the Vivo Y38 5G was spotted with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, complemented by 8 GB of RAM. The phone scored 3092 points in the single-core test and 7035 points in the multi-core test. According to the Geekbench listing, the smartphone will also run Android 14.
Vivo Y38 5G launch date (rumored)
There is no official announcement of Vivo Y38 5G yet, but it is expected to be presented in May. Most likely, the smartphone will debut first in China and then enter other markets.
