Vivo Y200 Pro 5G has received BIS, Bluetooth SIG certificates

Vivo introduced the Vivo Y200 5G smartphone in October last year. In February this year, the brand announced the Vivo Y200e 5G model in the country. Now, a new development shows that the country will soon receive another phone of the Y200 series called Vivo Y200 Pro 5G.

The BIS authority in India has approved a new Vivo phone with the model number V2401, as shown in the screenshot above. The same phone is listed as the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G in the Google Play list of supported devices and has a Bluetooth SIG certificate as shown below.

Interestingly, in addition to V2401, Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is also associated with the model number V2303. Last month, the Y200 Pro 5G was spotted in the Google Play Console database. An image and several specifications of the device appeared in the list. For those who don’t know, the V2303 model number originally belonged to the Vivo V29e, which debuted in Q3 of 2023.

Therefore, it seems that Vivo Y200 Pro 5G may be based on Vivo V29e. As a reminder, the device features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with curved edges that offers FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with an under-screen fingerprint sensor for security.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chip, 8GB of RAM, and a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. It is available in 128GB and 256GB versions.

For selfies, the Vivo Y29e has a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. On the back, the device is equipped with a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide-angle) dual camera. Now that the Y200 Pro 5G has received BIS certification, it looks like it could be officially unveiled later this month or in May.
