Asus has launched a new ROG gaming monitor in China called the ROG Strix XG27WCS. It’s a 27-inch curved monitor that offers visuals, responsiveness, and design features that are designed for demanding gamers. So let’s dive into the details.

Technical specifications of Asus ROG Strix XG27WCS

At the heart of the ROG Strix XG27WCS is a 27-inch Fast VA panel with a crisp 2K (2560×1440) resolution. It’s combined with a smooth 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response time for a crisp, smooth gaming experience.

The monitor has a 1500R curvature that gently encompasses your field of view so you can get deeper into the action and have a more immersive experience.

The XG27WCS also has color reproduction worthy of a gaming monitor. It covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which should be enough for everyday photo editing. Not to forget, the monitor is also DisplayHDR 400 certified.

The ROG Strix XG27WCS also supports AMD FreeSync and ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync). Both technologies help reduce screen tearing and jamming during gaming.

In terms of connectivity, it features a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt mode for video streaming and 7.5W charging, a full-size DisplayPort 1.4 connector, and HDMI 2.0 ports for connecting all your gaming devices.

The XG27WCS has a newly designed stand with a convenient built-in cell phone holder.

Price and availability

The Asus ROG Strix XG27WCS monitor is currently available in China for 1,799 yuan (~250 USD). No information on its international launch has been announced yet.
