Vivo is launching the X Fold 3 Pro foldable smartphone in China today, and it looks like the company is planning to launch it globally as well. A global variant of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has recently appeared on the Indonesian SDPPI certification site, indicating that its release in Indonesia may be imminent.
The smartphone appeared on the certification platform with the certificate number 98278/SDPPI/2024, model number V2330, and the nickname X Fold 3 Pro.
The phone’s appearance at the certification indicates that its global launch is not far off, making it Vivo’s first foldable smartphone for the global market. Previously, the company’s foldable devices were exclusive to the Chinese market.
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will feature a durable “Armor Feather” body and an advanced hinge for durability and reduced screen creases. The Pro model is 11.2 mm thick when folded, 5.2 mm thick when unfolded and weighs 236 grams.
The foldable model will feature a large 8.03-inch foldable OLED display and a 6.53-inch high-resolution OLED cover display with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It will also support a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
In terms of performance, the foldable phablet is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will run the latest OriginOS 4 operating system based on Android 14.
It has a 5800 mAh battery, 120 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging.
The X Fold 3 Pro’s camera system is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The internal and external screens will have dual front cameras with a resolution of 32 megapixels.
