Tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the key features of the iQOO Pad 2 (model number iPA2475) and reported that it is due for release in the near future. This device will support 66W fast charging and will reportedly be compatible with the UFCS fast charging protocol.
UFCS is a next-generation fast charging protocol jointly developed by the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT) and smartphone manufacturers such as Huawei, Vivo, and Xiaomi.
The iQOO Pad 2 will reportedly feature very similar specs to the rumored vivo Pad 3 Pro, which was previously spotted on Geekbench with MediaTek’s most powerful chip to date, the Dimensity 9300. Earlier it was reported that the vivo Pad3 Pro will have a 13.1-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 3.1K+ 144 Hz, 16 GB of RAM, 11500 mAh, not to mention a focus on performance.
The Dimensity 9300 is MediaTek’s latest flagship processor, which was released last November. It is manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process technology and features 4 high-performance Cortex-X4 cores, one of which reaches a clock speed of 3.25GHz and the other three operate at 2.85GHz. Along with the large cores, it contains 4 Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and a 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU. This chip even supports second-generation hardware ray tracing from MediaTek.
For comparison, the iQOO Pad from last May featured a slightly smaller 12.1-inch 2.8K 144Hz display that supports a peak brightness of 600 nits. It was also compatible with a stylus and touch keyboard, although they were sold separately. This original iQOO Pad was powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chip and was paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
