Sony has officially unveiled the new Xperia 10 VIII smartphone, continuing its signature design with a notch-free, hole-punch-free display. The device maintains its characteristic slim side bezels with relatively wider top and bottom borders, offering an uninterrupted visual experience.
Enhanced Display and Audio
At the heart of the Xperia 10 VIII is a vibrant 6.1-inch 120Hz OLED panel. Sony has significantly boosted its performance, with a 50% increase in screen brightness compared to its predecessor, promising better visibility even in bright conditions.
Adding to the multimedia experience, the dual speakers have been upgraded to deliver richer, fuller sound. For convenient operation, a dedicated camera button is located on the right side of the device, ensuring quick access to the camera functions.

Camera and Battery
The Xperia 10 VIII features a dual-camera setup on the rear. It includes a 24-megapixel main sensor housed in a 1/1.56-inch unit, paired with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. This configuration aims to provide versatile shooting capabilities for various scenarios.
Powering the device is a robust 5000mAh battery, which Sony claims offers up to two days of battery life on a single charge, catering to users who need reliable performance throughout their day.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Xperia 10 VIII is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. This is complemented by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Notably, the previous generation Xperia 10 VII also utilized the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, indicating Sony’s confidence in the platform’s performance for this series. The smartphone comes pre-installed with Android 16.

New ‘Point & Pay’ Feature
A significant software addition is the new “Point & Pay” functionality. Accessible with a quick double-press of the power button, this feature aims to streamline the payment and loyalty process. It integrates various payment QR codes and store points, allowing consumers to rapidly access their membership credentials and manage digital payments more efficiently.
The introduction of the Xperia 10 VIII, with its enhanced display, upgraded audio, capable camera system, and user-friendly software features, positions it as a compelling option in the mid-range smartphone market for users prioritizing a clean display and practical functionalities.
