Realme flagships received huge 7000 mAh batteries

After the exclusive launch of the GT 7 smartphone in China last month, Realme has finally announced two global versions of the phone with a massive 7,000 mAh battery: GT 7 and the slightly cheaper GT 7T.

The GT 7 is available in black and blue colors and costs from €749.99 for 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. There is also a limited edition GT 7 Dream Edition, created in collaboration with the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, with a 16GB/512GB configuration priced at €899.99. The GT 7T, available in an optional yellow color, is priced from 649.99 euros for the 12GB/256GB configuration. Both versions are already available for pre-order on Realme‘s website for the European and Indian markets.

Despite this battery power, the GT 7 is only 8.3 mm thick (GT 7T is 8.25 mm). For comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro is 8.25 mm thick with a 3582 mAh battery, and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is 8.2 mm thick with a 5000 mAh battery.

The Realme GT 7 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor and features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. The 7,000 mAh battery provides up to three days of light use, according to Realme, or up to seven hours of intense gaming. There’s no wireless charging, but with the included 120W charger and USB-C cable, the GT 7 can charge up to 50% of its capacity in 14 minutes, while a full charge takes 40 minutes.

On the back of the GT 7, you’ll find a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, another 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front is a 32-megapixel selfie camera and an optical fingerprint scanner hidden under the display. The GT 7 is IP69-rated for dust and water resistance, supports Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.4, and launches with Android 15. Realme promises four additional OS updates and six years of Android security updates.

The cheaper GT 7T, on the other hand, is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Max processor, and while it has a slightly larger 6.8-inch screen with a slight increase in resolution, the maximum display brightness is limited to just 1,800 nits. The 7T variant also has only two cameras on the back, ditching the GT 7’s telephoto lens in favor of a 50-megapixel primary camera and a second 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens.
