Meizu, despite announcing its exit from the smartphone market, seems to be continuing to develop phones. After the launch of the Meizu 21 Pro in February, rumors suggest that another phone, the Meizu 21 Note, may soon follow.
Now, real images of the smartphone have appeared on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter. The phone has a triple camera on the back like an iPhone, as well as a back panel with a gradient matte finish with wavy patterns. It is available in black and purple colors.
However, the authenticity of these images remains unclear, so it’s best to take the leak with a grain of salt.
In terms of specifications, Meizu 21 Note is expected to feature a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and eye-safe 2160Hz PWM brightness control.
Under the hood, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is rumored to be installed. The 5500 mAh battery supports 66W fast charging for quick power-up.
The camera information shows a 16-megapixel sensor on the front and a rear camera consisting of a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 primary sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for improved low-light photos, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
In addition, the device has a metal frame sandwiched between glass front and back panels. It will also have an IP53 rating, which protects it from dust and water splashes.
Based on these rumors, the Meizu 21 Note can be positioned as a sub-flagship smartphone that will compete with devices such as the OnePlus Ace 3 and Redmi K70.
