The next-generation Oppo Reno series smartphones are reportedly under development. These devices have recently been spotted in certain rumors and reports. Now, a fresh leak has revealed the estimated launch dates of the Reno 12 series. So, here’s everything you need to know.

The Chinese tech giant is apparently planning to release the Reno 12 series in May 2024. The latest leak comes from a well-known Weibo informant. Smart Pikachu claims that the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pros could hit the market as early as next month. The second informant also added that the smartphones have been compared to Honor-branded devices. This could be the upcoming Honor 200 series, which may have a similar price and specifications to the Reno 12 models.

The Honor 200 series is expected to be launched in the near future and may appear in May. Reno 12 Pro was recently spotted in a leak. It is expected to have a tall 6.7-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there will be a large 5000 mAh battery based on the Dimensity 9200 SoC, and it can support 80W wired fast charging.

The Reno 12 series may get AI-related features and offer a periscope telephoto camera for better zoom shots. Meanwhile, the main camera is rumored to be a Sony sensor. The Reno 12 offers a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the front-facing camera is a 50-megapixel selfie camera. This base variant may also offer a 5,000 mAh battery, but with 67W wired fast charging.
