The global market for OLED monitor panels is experiencing remarkable growth, with shipments projected to hit 6.1 million units this year, marking an impressive 79% increase compared to the previous year. This upward trajectory is expected to continue, with projections estimating shipments to reach 7.5 million units by 2027, according to a new report by Omdia.

Asus Leads the Pack in OLED Monitor Adoption

Asus has solidified its position as the leading buyer of OLED monitor panels, commanding a substantial 23% market share. Following closely behind are MSI, securing the second spot with 14% of the market, and Samsung Electronics and TPV, both holding 12%. The top eight list of buyers also includes prominent names such as LG Electronics, Dell, Acer, and Lenovo, highlighting the broad adoption of OLED technology across major display brands.

Falling Prices Drive OLED Accessibility

A significant factor contributing to the surge in OLED monitor shipments is the notable decrease in prices. The cost of mainstream 27-inch, 240Hz OLED gaming monitors has fallen by over 40% within the current year. Omdia’s analysis indicates a further downward trend, with high-end OLED monitors expected to retail for around $350 by the first half of 2026 and approach the $300 mark by 2027. This price reduction is making advanced OLED display technology more accessible to a wider consumer base, fueling demand for gaming, creative work, and general use.

TCL CSOT Pushes Boundaries with High Refresh Rate OLED

Looking ahead, TCL CSOT is making significant strides in OLED production capabilities. The company is planning to utilize its upcoming Guangzhou t8 G8.6 IJP OLED production line, slated for operation in 2028, to manufacture larger OLED display panels. These panels will cater to a range of sizes, including 32-inch and 34-inch, and are set to boast an astonishing maximum refresh rate of 700Hz. This development signals a new era for OLED displays, promising unparalleled visual fluidity and responsiveness, particularly for high-performance gaming and demanding professional applications.

The combined forces of increasing demand, decreasing prices, and technological advancements from manufacturers like TCL CSOT are setting the stage for a dynamic future in the OLED monitor market. Omdia’s forecasts suggest a sustained period of growth, cementing OLED’s position as a leading display technology for years to come.
