MeiCong has just announced the arrival of two captivating new colorways for its Ace 68 Air 2 keyboard: Amber Gold and Mint Ice. These fresh options are now available across all platforms, catering to users who seek both aesthetic appeal and high-performance functionality. The Amber Gold variant evokes a sense of luxury, while the Mint Ice offers a cool, refreshing look.
Enhanced Design and Features
Building upon the success of the Ace 68 Air Pro version, the Ace 68 Air 2 retains the overall sleek design while introducing a significant upgrade: an independent Rapid Trigger (RT) function control button located on the side. This addition streamlines the process of switching input modes, offering a more intuitive user experience for gamers and power users alike.
The MeiCong Ace 68 Air 2 boasts a compact 65% layout, making it an excellent choice for users with limited desk space or those who prefer a minimalist setup. Despite its smaller size, it doesn’t compromise on performance. The keyboard features an impressive 8kHz polling rate and a 256kHz scanning rate, resulting in a remarkably low latency of just 0.08ms. The precision of its Rapid Trigger function is equally noteworthy, with an accuracy of 0.001mm, ensuring instantaneous response times in fast-paced scenarios.
Premium Build and Aesthetics
Users can choose between two distinct keycap styles: transparent keycaps that allow the backlight to shine through, or frosted top-surface keycaps for a more diffused glow. At the rear of the keyboard, an Air Rhythm light bar adds a dynamic visual element. The PCB is designed with an ‘upward lighting’ configuration, positioning the LEDs to maximize keycap illumination.
Internally, the Ace 68 Air 2 is equipped with an aluminum alloy positioning plate, providing a stable and consistent typing feel. Furthermore, it incorporates 5 layers of acoustic damping material. This acoustic design aims to reduce unwanted noise and vibrations, contributing to a more satisfying and refined typing sound profile.
Pricing and Availability
The MeiCong Ace 68 Air 2 keyboard is available in two switch options. The variant with the Polar Magnetic Axis is priced at 289 yuan, while the Taishan Magnetic Axis version is available for 329 yuan. Interested buyers can find the keyboard on major online retail platforms, including JD.com.
