Nubia Flip 5G receives 3C certification with 33W charging

Amid reports that smartphone brands are stopping their foldable projects, Nubia is bucking the trend by pushing forward with its own foldable devices. It is said that Nubia is working hard on not one, but two foldable designs: a clamshell and a book style.

The Nubia Flip 5G, which is rumored to be the company’s first foldable phone in the shape of a clamshell, recently appeared in China’s 3C certification records. The certification hints at an imminent launch of the device, which heightens expectations around it.

According to the certificate, the Nubia Flip 5G, model number NX724J, will support 33W fast charging, although it is not known whether wireless charging will be part of its features.

The listing also states that the device may come with a power adapter with the model number STC-A5111530AC. Based on this, it is reasonable to expect it to appear in China first.

More information about the Nubia Flip 5G’s specifications is currently unavailable. More information about its processor, camera system, and other specifications will likely emerge in the near future through leaks and further certifications.

The Nubia Flip 5G smartphone may debut alongside the Nubia Z60 Fold, the company’s book-like smartphone. According to rumors, it will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and AMOLED displays on the front and back.

The device is likely powered by a large 5000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

In addition, both of Nubia’s upcoming foldable devices have previously appeared in IMEI database listings. The Nubia Z60 Fold is listed under the model number NX801J, and the Nubia Flip 5G is listed under the number NX724J. This indicates that Nubia is already on the way to launching these devices. However, there is no official word on their release dates yet.
