New Samsung TVs presented at CES 2025

Samsung starts 2025 with a lineup of new AI-enabled TVs. At CES 2025, Samsung introduced the Neo QLED 8K QN990F and QN900F, as well as the Neo QLED 4K QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F. The TVs are equipped with anti-glare technology and a set of artificial intelligence functions controlled by Samsung Vision AI.

The Neo QLED 8K QN990F is Samsung’s top-of-the-line model, featuring an ultra-thin minimalist body and NQ8 AI Gen3 processor. Artificial intelligence capabilities include native 8K scaling, frame-by-frame HDR remastering, adaptive sound, color enhancement, and AI Mode, which automatically optimizes the picture and sound depending on the content on the screen. These features are an upgrade to Samsung’s existing artificial intelligence developments.

In keeping with the minimalist aesthetic, Samsung is also shipping a wireless One Connect Box for the QN990F, allowing users to free up their TV space from wires. It’s similar to LG’s Zero Connect Box, and it’s a smart piece of clutter-clearing hardware. Samsung claims that the Wireless One Connect Box works up to 10 meters away, even when there are obstacles in the transmission path.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s QLED 4K lineup features an NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, 4K AI Upscaling Pro technology, improved image quality, and a 165Hz refresh rate. The QN80F model has a diagonal of 100 inches, and the QN90F has a diagonal of 115 inches.

Samsung’s artificial intelligence ambitions span all TVs in 2025, with Vision AI providing new personalization and optimization features. Click to Search can detect people, places, and products on the screen and then provide relevant information about these things in real time. For example, you can identify actors in a scene, specific items of clothing, or a displayed location. Likewise, the new Samsung Food feature can identify dishes on your TV screen and even suggest related recipes. The feature can also analyze the contents of your connected Samsung fridge and create specific shopping lists, as well as suggest you order groceries or food from your TV through third-party apps.

Samsung AI Home Security turns your TV into a home surveillance center. It uses your Samsung TV’s built-in microphone and connected cameras to detect unusual sounds and movements. It then sends notifications to your phone or directly to your TV screen. The Live Translate function provides real-time subtitle translation, and the Generative Wallpaper function allows you to create dynamic, personalized artistic canvases.

Samsung’s OLED TV lineup includes the S95F, S90F and S85F models. The flagship of this lineup, the S95F, is equipped with an NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, improved anti-glare technology, a variable 165Hz refresh rate, and a brighter display than ever before.

There’s also The Frame Pro, a TV so special that we’ve dedicated a separate article to its new features.

As always, Samsung is going to reveal more details about the pricing and availability of its new hardware during CES 2025.
