Lenovo has launched the 2024 Legion R7000P gaming laptop in China, which is now available for pre-order. The new model comes with a significant upgrade from its predecessor, namely the AMD Ryzen 7 8845H processor.
This processor has 8 cores and 16 threads, with a base clock speed of 3.8 GHz and an overclocked clock speed of 5.1 GHz. In addition, it comes with an onboard NPU. This NPU allows the Legion R7000P to deliver up to 38 TOPS of AI performance, which significantly improves performance in AI-intensive applications.
The Legion R7000P has a 16-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a response time of 3 ms, and a peak brightness of 350 nits. The laptop uses an Nvidia RTX 4060 mobile graphics processor with 8 GB of VRAM and a maximum power consumption of 140 watts. This is a relatively low-end GPU, but it will have no problem running modern AAA and competitive games.
The laptop has a cooling system consisting of two fans and five heat pipes. It also features a large 80 Wh battery, 6E WiFi, a range of connectivity options, and a Nahimic speaker system for high-quality sound.
The laptop is priced at 8,399 yuan (approximately USD 1,168) and is available in China through online channels. Lenovo has not yet announced a global launch date.
