Huawei has officially announced the launch of two of its new consumer devices – Huawei Band 9 fitness tracker and FreeLace Pro 2 wireless headphones. The company shared the news via a post on social media, confirming the upcoming launch.
Huawei Band 9
The Huawei Band 9 was previously registered in the SIRIM Malaysia and TDRA UAE databases under the model number KIM-B19. However, the listing does not reveal any specific details about the tracker.
Band 9 will debut as a successor to Huawei Band 8 in 2023. The teaser image shows that the new tracker retains the overall design of previous models.
That is, it has a rounded rectangular display with 2.5D glass and a side button. According to Huawei, the Band 9 will usher in “a new era in wrist fashion and improve sleep function.” However, the company did not share details on what exactly this means.
Huawei FreeLace Pro 2
Huawei has also pleased us with an update to its neckband headphones – FreeLace Pro 2. The original FreeLace Pro was released in August 2020, so this is a long-awaited update to the series.
Even years later, FreeLace Pro 2 seems to keep the design of its predecessor. The part of the bud shown in the teaser is visually similar to the part of the original FreeLace Pro.
Both the Huawei Band 9 and FreeLace Pro 2 are tagged with the “#ComingSoon” on social media. However, the company did not disclose a specific launch date. We will keep you updated on any further developments related to these products.
