Google traditionally summarizes the results of the year and presents the ranking of the most popular search queries of Ukrainian users.
Please note that the ranking of the year’s queries is based on which search queries in different categories have grown in popularity the most over the year. Based on the analysis and calculation of certain queries, this ranking clearly demonstrates the search trends and what people are most interested in today. The Most Popular Queries of the Year category retains the original wording of search queries.
The most popular queries
Among the most popular search queries of the year, the first position was taken by the query “Blackout schedule”. The second position was occupied by the query “Euro 2024”, and the third – “Syrian”. The top searches of the year also included “Olympic Games 2024”, “Easter 2024” and “Suja”.
In the category of people whose interest grew the most during the year, the leader was the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. Ukrainians were also actively interested in such people as Oleksandr Usyk, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and Klavdiya Petrovna.
As for the losses of 2024, there were the most requests about Irina Farion, Alexei Navalny, and Alain Delon.
Movies and purchases
In the Movies category, the Ukrainian documentary 20 Days in Mariupol became the leader. The second and third positions are occupied by sequels to popular films: the animation Inside Out 2 and the space fiction Dune. Part Two”. One of the most discussed films of the year, Saltburn and Substance, as well as the Ukrainian mystical horror film The Konotop Witch, also aroused considerable interest among Ukrainians.
Among the search queries for purchases in 2024, Ukrainians were most interested in where to buy energy solutions such as EcoFlow, charging stations, inverters, and solar panels. The most popular searches in this category also included Dubai chocolate, squash paw and tubing.
In 2024, Ukrainian users searched for the meaning of the abbreviations MSEK, REB, ASC, and KAB. In addition, Ukrainians tried to find out the meaning of the words “terricones”, “quadroblasts”, and “chinazes”, as well as what the queues for power outages and the ok-7 certificate are.
