Gemini is designed to be your personal AI assistant – a companion, intuitive, and helpful assistant. Finally, Google has made Gemini Live available in Ukrainian, allowing Ukrainian users to have natural conversations with it.
In addition, in the future, Gemini will be able to connect to more Google apps in Ukrainian, making it easier to access information and complete tasks in your favorite Google services.
Gemini Live now speaks Ukrainian
Google recently announced the expansion of Gemini Live to more than 40 languages, allowing people to have free, natural conversations with Gemini in their preferred language. Starting today and over the next few weeks, Gemini Live will be available in Ukrainian and on Android phones, and later on iPhone and other iOS devices.
Please note that Gemini Live is available on selected devices, accounts, for certain languages and countries, and is compatible with certain features. New language support will be gradually added to mobile devices over the coming weeks, starting today.
Gemini Live will support bilingual conversations on a single device, and the team plans to expand support to more languages in the future.
How to set languages
You can easily set your preferred languages in the Google app:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google app and tap your profile picture or initials at the top.

Go to Settings > Gemini > Languages.

Select Ukrainian or any other supported language.

Optionally, you can add a second supported language. You can currently install and use up to two languages with Gemini Live.
Support for new languages in Gemini Live is being rolled out in phases. Some languages may not be available to all users at once. When the language of your choice becomes available, you will receive a notification in the app.
Gemini Live: your AI companion
You can actually have a conversation with Gemini Live. It’s like talking to a friend: you can generate ideas, research new topics, or even prepare for an important presentation. Gemini Live can support your conversations, so you have the ability to interrupt, change direction, or dive deeper into a particular topic. And with 10 different voices to choose from, you can customize your experience and find the perfect tone and style for your conversation.
Here are just a few examples of what you can do with Gemini Live:

Ask for advice: Discuss various topics with Gemini, such as a potential job that best suits your skills or education.

Your favorite apps are now connected to Gemini
Since Google integrated Extensions directly into Gemini, users have been able to accomplish more tasks with the apps and services they already use, such as Gmail, Maps, and YouTube. The team recently expanded this capability to include even more Google tools in English, including Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep, and Utilities. With the help of extensions, Gemini can collect all the data you need from other apps and services to help you complete tasks easier and faster.
Over the coming weeks, you’ll be able to connect to new tools in various apps in Ukrainian, making it even easier to complete tasks. Here are some examples of how to use Gemini extensions in Ukrainian:

Ask Gemini to find a recipe sent to you in Gmail and add the ingredients to your Keep shopping list.

Take a photo of a concert poster and ask Gemini if you’re free that day – and even set a reminder to buy tickets.

Ask Gemini when a movie you’re looking forward to is coming out, and then ask it to remind you to buy tickets a week in advance.
