Geely Auto is set to launch its much-anticipated Galaxy Navigator 700, with global pre-orders commencing on September 15th. This announcement was made by Shan Aifu William, Geely’s Minister of Communication Strategy and Geely Galaxy Public Relations Minister.
Introducing the Galaxy Navigator 700
The upcoming Galaxy Navigator 700 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5085mm in length and 1999mm in width. Its height varies across different versions, ranging from 1895mm to 1925mm, with a wheelbase of 2900mm. This robust build suggests a vehicle designed for both comfort and off-road capability.
Advanced Technology and Performance
At the heart of the Navigator 700’s capabilities is Geely’s self-developed GVMC dynamic control system. This system is engineered to allow the vehicle to navigate the麋鹿 test (moose test) at speeds of up to 80 km/h, highlighting its stability and responsiveness.
The AI intelligent four-wheel-drive system offers automatic switching between front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive modes. It also integrates advanced features such as crab walk mode,原地掉头 (on-the-spot U-turn), run-flat capabilities, and automatic obstacle avoidance. For off-road enthusiasts, the vehicle offers a wading depth of 800mm and is equipped with satellite communication capabilities, ensuring connectivity even in remote areas.
Interior and Comfort Features
The interior of the Galaxy Navigator 700 features a design that balances modern technology with user-friendly physical controls. A prominent set of physical buttons is complemented by a rotary knob, allowing drivers to easily switch between intelligent, economic, comfortable, and sport driving modes. The vehicle also comes with a panoramic sunroof, and the front seats are equipped with headrest audio systems for an enhanced listening experience.
Powertrain Options
Geely is offering the Navigator 700 with flexible powertrain options. Customers can choose between a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 160kW, or a 1.5T engine delivering 120kW. Additionally, a high-performance three-motor four-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid system will be available, delivering a combined power output of up to 830kW and featuring a differential lock.
All variants will be equipped with a 47.14kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate battery pack, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 305km. The chassis is designed for superior ride quality and handling, incorporating a dual-chamber air spring system combined with CDC (Continuous Damping Control) adjustable shock absorbers.
Pioneering AI New Energy Off-road Technology
The Galaxy Navigator 700 is set to debut Geely’s cutting-edge AI New Energy Off-road technology. This innovative suite integrates three globally pioneered technologies: the GTA native new energy off-road architecture, the all-wheel-drive AI electric hybrid Leishen EM-T, and the AI all-terrain digital chassis. These advancements represent a comprehensive breakthrough in vehicle structure, powertrain, intelligent chassis, and overall safety.
This launch marks a significant step forward for Geely in the new energy vehicle sector, particularly in the off-road SUV segment, blending AI, hybrid technology, and robust off-road capabilities.
