The latest leak about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch lineup sheds light on the key features of both the standard Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
A leak from the usually reliable Android Headlines shows that the Galaxy Watch 7 will come in 40mm and 44mm sizes, just like its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 6. It will be available in green and cream colors.
The build quality seems to be improved: the Galaxy Watch 7 body will be made of armored aluminum 2, and the sapphire crystal display will provide a peak brightness of 2000 nits, which is enough for outdoor use.
The durability specs remain unchanged, with the same 5ATM and IP68 ratings for water and dust protection as the Watch 6. The battery capacity is also unchanged.
The smaller 40mm model of the Galaxy Watch 7 will have a 300mAh battery, while the 44mm version will be equipped with a 425mAh battery.
The most notable update for the watch may be a new 3nm processor. The memory capacity is also rumored to double to 32 GB, which will provide more space for music and applications.
As for the Ultra model, Samsung improves its durability with a titanium body, 10ATM water resistance, and compliance with the military’s MIL-STD-810H strength standard.
The Watch Ultra will be available in a single 47mm version with a 590 mAh battery. Color options will include gray, silver, and beige.
The Ultra model will also have the same processor and storage as the vanilla Watch 7, but Samsung will increase the screen brightness to 3000 nits. It will also have an additional Quick button compared to the standard Watch 7, which will retain the Home and Back buttons.
