Details about the iPhone 16 processor and camera have been revealed

Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered a number of reports regarding the 2024 iPhone lineup. Now, a fresh leak has revealed more details about the iPhone 16 series camera and processor.

Features of the Apple iPhone 16

The latest information came from a source on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site). Judging by the post, the Apple A18 Bionic chipset will be based on the 3nm process from TSMC. In addition, this processor is likely to be installed in the iPhone 16 and is the flagship chipset of the next generation, such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and MediaTek Dimensity 9400. The Smart Pikachu insider adds that all three processors are expected to be released around the same time frame in 2024.

He adds that the A18 Bionic series will offer dual WiFi6E and WiFi 7 versions. In addition, the processor could also power a dual 48-megapixel camera. This coincides with our previous reports, as the iPhone 16 is rumored to feature a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Earlier, we also talked about the iPhone 16 build details, as well as the new Camera button for the iPhone 16 Pro series.

Unfortunately, that was all the information our source shared. Until then, you can check out our other reports where we talk about renders, RAM improvements, and a reduced Dynamic Island. Stay tuned as we will provide updates as more information becomes available on this issue.
