BYD’s Fangchengbao brand is set to unveil its new S and S GT personalized sedans on September 16th. The launch event, which will be broadcast online, is scheduled to take place in Shanghai.
These two new models have been available for pre-order nationwide since August 20th, with pricing ranging from 230,000 to 280,000 RMB. The Fangchengbao S and S GT made their global debut as concept vehicles at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show.
Fangchengbao S Specifications
According to information filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Fangchengbao S measures 5060mm in length, 1967mm in width, and has a height of 1483mm or 1458mm. The wheelbase stands at 2960mm. The vehicle has an equipped mass of 2140kg and a gross mass of 2580kg, with a top speed of 240km/h.
Power options for the S include a single motor with a peak power of either 245kW or 300kW, and dual-motor configurations offering 190kW or 300kW. Both variants will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Fangchengbao S GT Specifications
The Fangchengbao S GT has dimensions of 5025/5095mm in length, 1967mm in width, and a height of 1483mm or 1458mm. It shares the same 2960mm wheelbase as the S. The equipped mass is 2170kg, with a gross mass of 2595kg, and it also boasts a maximum speed of 240km/h.
For the S GT, the powertrain options consist of a single motor with a peak power of 300kW, or dual-motor setups with 190kW or 300kW. Like the S, it will utilize lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Innovative Interior Features
A key highlight for the Fangchengbao S series is the debut of BYD’s Smart Ecosystem 2.0. The vehicles are equipped with PIN ports, magnetic, and threaded interfaces, enabling a highly customizable, evolving, and adaptable cabin experience. This feature emphasizes the brand’s commitment to personalized and future-proof vehicle interiors.
