At CES 2025, Belkin introduced a new phone accessory that somehow brings something fresh to the crowded field of magnetic charging accessories (in other words, MagSafe and non-certified alternatives from Apple). Stage PowerGrip is a wireless power bank that looks like a camera and a stand rolled into one. It even has a small screen and is available in several interesting colors.
Belkin is positioning the PowerGrip as an accessory for creatives and travelers. While today’s smartphones are all most people need to take photos, holding a candy-colored phone in landscape mode for long periods of time is not as comfortable or natural as the firm grip of a dedicated camera. This accessory solves this problem with a thick bulge that looks like a DSLR or mirrorless camera.
Inside it is a 10,000 mAh battery that provides 7.5W wireless magnetic charging. The LED indicator on the back allows you to quickly check the battery level. And the retractable USB-C cable is hidden inside the accessory, so you don’t have to remember to throw a separate cable in your bag.
Belkin says that the PowerGrip will be available in powder blue, sand, fresh yellow, pepper, and lavender (the company’s press images also show a sixth black option). Sales are scheduled to begin in May this year. Unfortunately, Belkin has not yet announced the price.
