Huami’s Amazfit brand is set to launch its latest rugged smartwatch, the T-Rex Dual Solar, on October 8th at 10:00 AM, with a price tag of 4499 Yuan. This new device is engineered for extended outdoor adventures, boasting a dual-sided solar charging system and a suite of advanced features.
Dual Solar Charging for Extended Adventures
The standout feature of the Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar is its innovative dual solar charging system. This system is designed to power the watch during long, multi-day outdoor expeditions. In typical usage scenarios, the watch offers a battery life of up to 25 days. When exposed to sunlight for 3 hours daily at 50,000 lux, the battery life can be extended to an impressive 34 days when only the front is exposed to light, and a remarkable 51 days if both the front and back surfaces are exposed to sunlight.
Rugged Design Meets Premium Materials
Embodying a robust outdoor aesthetic, the T-Rex Dual Solar features a bezel crafted from 5-grade titanium alloy, paired with a sapphire glass watch face for superior scratch resistance. The back of the watch incorporates a glass-ceramic backplane that integrates a large solar panel, enabling energy harvesting from both the front and back of the device.
Advanced Features for Exploration and Training
The smartwatch is equipped with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display that delivers a peak brightness of 3000 nits, ensuring readability even in bright sunlight. It also boasts a 10ATM water resistance rating, making it suitable for water-based activities. For navigation, the T-Rex Dual Solar supports offline topographic maps and route planning, empowering users to explore new territories with confidence. The device also features a hybrid training mode, allowing seamless switching between exploration and training activities. Its flexible GPS mode offers a balance between positioning accuracy and battery endurance.
Connectivity and tracking are enhanced with the LiveShare feature, enabling real-time trajectory tracking. For health monitoring, the watch includes an optical heart rate sensor for all-day tracking of heart rate and other vital health data. The combination of advanced sensors and long battery life makes the Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar a compelling option for serious outdoor enthusiasts and athletes.
