AITO, the electric vehicle brand under Seres Group, has officially launched its “AITO Mountain River · Chongqing Self-Driving Charging Routebook.” This new resource aims to enhance the travel experience for EV owners by connecting 30 charging stations across five distinct self-driving routes within Chongqing.
Seamless Charging for Chongqing Adventures
The “AITO Mountain River · Chongqing Self-Driving Charging Routebook” is designed to guide drivers through the diverse landscapes and cultural highlights of Chongqing. The initiative, announced by Kang Bo, Director and Vice President of Seres Group, integrates 30 charging points into five carefully curated routes. These routes are set to cover popular destinations such as Chongqing’s main urban areas, the ancient Dazu Rock Carvings, the stunning karst landscapes, the unique Miao ethnic minority villages, the majestic Three Gorges region, and areas like Jiangjin and Beibei. The routebook not only focuses on navigation and charging but also enriches the journey by including local scenic spots and authentic culinary recommendations.
AITO’s Ambitious Charging Network Expansion
This launch in Chongqing is part of AITO’s broader strategy for charging infrastructure development. At last year’s smart selection and AITO autumn new product launch event, Seres President He Liyang outlined an ambitious plan for the brand’s charging station construction spanning from 2025 to 2028. The plan includes a significant expansion of charging facilities across major transportation networks and lifestyle hubs.
Key Components of the Charging Plan:
- Highway Service Areas: Coverage of over 1,600 highway service areas, strategically mapped along expressways (7 radiating, 11 vertical, 18 horizontal).
- High-Frequency Living Zones: Deployment in more than 2,100 high-frequency living zones, including major economic clusters like the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Greater Bay Area, and the Yangtze River Delta.
- Classic Driving Routes: Establishment of charging points along over 300 classic self-driving routes, such as the 219, 318, and the Qinghai-Gansu loop.
Beyond public infrastructure, AITO is also bolstering its user-centric charging network. The plan encompasses 220+ cities, over 400 AITO user centers, and a total of more than 4,000 charging guns, ensuring that AITO users have convenient access to charging services both on the go and within their communities.
Enhancing the EV Driving Experience
The introduction of the Chongqing routebook signifies AITO’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and convenient ownership experience for its customers. By addressing the critical aspect of charging infrastructure, especially for longer journeys and exploration, AITO aims to alleviate range anxiety and encourage more users to embrace electric vehicle travel. The integration of local cultural and gastronomic information further elevates the routebook from a mere navigation tool to a travel companion, encouraging deeper engagement with the regions visited.
As AITO continues to expand its charging network and develop innovative services like the Chongqing routebook, the brand is positioning itself as a key player in China’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market, focusing on user experience and practical solutions for everyday EV driving.
