Edifier has launched its S880 MKII active 2.0 HIFI speakers, initially priced at 1199 yuan. During the JD 11.11 shopping festival, these speakers are available for an attractive price of 851.74 yuan with a 10% national subsidy and a 6-month interest-free installment plan. To get this deal, users need to claim a 90% discount coupon and can further reduce the cost by 20 yuan worth of Jingdong Beans through a post-purchase review.
Key Features and Design
The S880 MKII boasts an 88W total power output and carries the Hi-Res Audio certification, indicated by the prominent ‘little gold standard’. The design features a clean white cabinet complemented by 15mm light wood grain side panels and a supposed ‘hand-stitched premium textured leather’ finish, giving it a sophisticated aesthetic.
Audio Specifications
Under the hood, the speakers are equipped with two 25-core titanium dome tweeters and two 3.75-inch aluminum cone mid-woofer units, delivering the combined 88W power. Connectivity is enhanced with Bluetooth 5.3 technology, and the audio processing is handled by the PCM9211 chip and XMOS XCore 200 U216 processor. The speakers support LDAC high-definition decoding, further solidifying their Hi-Res credentials.
Versatile Connectivity Options
Edifier emphasizes the S880 MKII’s multi-channel audio input capabilities. It includes coaxial, optical, and USB-C interfaces. Additionally, a SUB OUT port is reserved for connecting an active subwoofer, featuring plug-and-play detection and automatic crossover point adjustment for seamless integration.
