56% of Ukrainians are not preparing for cold weather

Rakuten Viber conducted a survey to find out how Ukrainians are preparing for the cold snap. However, it forgot to add a question about possible power outages due to alleged Russian missile attacks on energy infrastructure.

About 60 thousand users from Ukraine took part in the survey on the official Viber Ukraine channel.

The results of the survey showed that more than half (56%) of Ukrainians are not preparing for the cold weather. 16% bought everything they needed last season. At the same time, about a third of Ukrainians (28%) are still preparing for the cold snap. The most popular methods are purchasing warm clothes and blankets (8% of respondents chose this option) and insulating the premises (8%).

Another 4% sealed the gaps in the windows or insulated them, 2% bought a heater, 2% bought a charging station, and 1% bought a diesel generator. 2% of respondents did all of the above to prepare for winter. In addition, 1% of respondents are planning to move.

It’s worth noting that last year the Rakuten Viber team conducted a similar survey among Ukrainians. Just like this year, more than half of the respondents (51%) did not prepare for the cold weather.
