Yanukovych promised to protect the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
He promised to care of the welfare of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, obey the Constitution and laws, fulfill his duties in the interests of all Ukrainians and increase the international image of Ukraine.
Yanukovych announced the words of the oath with his hand on the Constitution and Peresopnytskoe Gospel.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on February 14, the Central Election Commission declared Yanukovych the winner of the presidential elections.
