Xiaomi Smart Band 9: a new smart bracelet may appear on the market in the near future

Xiaomi may be working on a successor to the Smart Band 8 series. The device was introduced last year in the brand’s home market of China. But now, it seems that Xiaomi Smart Band 9 may appear soon. Here is everything you need to know.

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 passes certification in Singapore

The upcoming Smart Band model from the Chinese tech giant has appeared in the IMDA database, which is a Singaporean certification. This means that Smart Band 9 will also soon appear on the global market. The listing confirms the model number M2345B1 for the basic version and M2346B1 for the Smart Band 9 with NFC. Unfortunately, more details about this device, such as its specifications, features, design, etc., are still unknown.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 and Smart Band 9 NFC have been spotted in China, where they also received RF certification last month. In February 2024, the previous-generation Smart Band 8 Pro finally went on sale in Europe, despite first appearing in China in August 2023. On the other hand, the base model of Smart Band 8 appeared on the market back in April 2023. So now we can expect that the launch of Smart Band 9 is also imminent. You can even check out the Smart Band 8 review by clicking here.

It’s worth noting that this is still unconfirmed information, so take this news with a grain of salt. For those of you who don’t know, last year’s Smart Band 8 features a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 600 nits and Always On Display. It offers various health-related trackers such as a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep tracker, and menstrual cycle monitor. On one full charge, the device worked for up to 16 days. So we can expect similar performance along with some possible hardware upgrades under the hood.
