Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip foldable phones in August in China. Long before the official announcement, the famous leaker Evan Blass published a rendering of the Mix Fold 4 to show it off for the first time. In addition, he also shared the key features of the device.
The image above shows that the back panel of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 may have a faux leather finish. At the top, there is a raised rectangular module that houses four cameras, an LED flash on the left and the Leica logo on the right. Blass claims that the device will be less than 10 mm thick. In addition, it will be IPX8 waterproof.
The overall design of Mix Fold 4 looks more premium than its predecessor. It should be noted that the images described are labeled as a “work in progress” and may not reflect the final design.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 specifications (rumored)
According to Blass, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This indicates that it will compete with other SD8G3 foldable devices such as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and Honor Magic V3.
The rear camera system will consist of a 50-megapixel primary camera equipped with Leica Summilux lenses. The device is expected to have a battery capacity of over 5,000 mAh with support for wireless charging.
The 3C Mix Fold 4 certification spotted last month revealed that it could be equipped with satellite connectivity. According to a previous report, the device’s four-camera setup will consist of a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an OmniVision OV60A telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Other details about Mix Fold 4 have not yet been disclosed.
