Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will receive Leica Summilux lenses and Light Fusion 800 sensor

Xiaomi has demonstrated the Civi 4 Pro camera system ahead of its launch, which is scheduled for March 21. The camera system is equipped with a Leica Optical Summilux lens (similar to Xiaomi 14 Pro) with a large f/1.63 aperture and a 50-megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 800 sensor.

The Light Fusion 800 main sensor has a 1/1.55″ format, 2.0 micron pixel size and 13.2EV dynamic range. It was first used in Redmi K70 Pro, which was launched at the end of last year. It’s slightly smaller than the 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 900 (OVX9000) main sensor of Xiaomi 14 Pro.

In addition, Leica Summilux lenses specialize in low-light photography. They use a special type of glass with unique reflection properties. The phone is expected to offer a master portrait and other professional camera features designed to maximize the potential of the built-in equipment right from the camera.

Previous teasers have also revealed that the phone will be available in four different color options and will be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a stripped-down version of the driving force behind 2024 flagships like the Galaxy S24 series. This chip could make Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro a flagship killer.

Speaking of other aspects, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is expected to offer a 6.55-inch 1080p (2400×1080) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi Civi 3, the back design looks very similar with a slightly larger round camera module with a flash inside.
