Vodafone Ukraine Group announces the completion of the acquisition of Freenet, a company that provides fixed-line Internet access services under the O3 brand. The acquisition is part of Vodafone Ukraine’s strategy to develop converged services and tariffs.
“We are convinced that Vodafone Ukraine’s fixed-line business should develop to serve more subscribers by providing them with high-speed Internet services, including those based on modern GPON (Gigabit Optical Network) technology,” said Olga Ustinova, CEO of Vodafone Ukraine.
Freenet LLC is a national broadband Internet access operator providing services under the O3 brand in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovs’k, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Kyiv, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv, and Chernihiv regions.
