Vivo Y200i: design, specs and price revealed

Vivo introduced the Y200 smartphone last October. It looks like they are now preparing to release a new model, the Vivo Y200i. The smartphone with the model number V2354A has appeared on China Telecom’s website, revealing everything from design and specifications to price.

Technical specifications of Vivo Y200i

So, the Y200i features a large 6.72-inch display with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels. Although the exact display technology has not been confirmed, it is most likely an LCD panel given the price. The phone measures 165.70 x 76.00 x 7.99 mm and weighs 199 grams, which indicates a comfortable size for everyday use.

The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, which is a step up from the 4 Gen 1 on the Y200. In terms of memory, there are three configurations to choose from: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, and the top-of-the-line 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage.

On the back, the Y200i has a dual camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The secondary sensor has a resolution of 2 megapixels and is probably designed for depth imaging. The front-facing 8-megapixel camera is responsible for selfies and video calls.

The 6000 mAh battery supports charging via USB-C.

In terms of connectivity, the Y200i offers standard options such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio and supports GPS and Beidou navigation systems.

Vivo Y200i Geekbench and 3C list

Along with appearing on the Telecom website, the smartphone also appeared on Geekbench and the 3C certification website.

The phone with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor scored 3,199 points in the single-core round and 7,931 points in the multi-core tests. While 3C confirms the missing detail that the Vivo Y200i will have 44W fast charging support.

Price and availability

The Vivo Y200i website lists a starting price of ¥1799 (approximately $248) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version. Variants with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB and 512 GB of storage cost ¥1899 (about $262) and ¥1999 (about $275), respectively.

Although the official launch date has not yet been announced, China Telecom’s listing suggests that the phone may be available soon.
