Ukrtelecom, Ukraine’s largest telecommunications company, reached agreement with TelecomInvest (Kyiv) on upgrading its optic trunk DWDM network, Ukrainian News has learned from a copy of a statement made by Ukrtelecom.
The contract was signed on October 11.
The contract costs UAH 71,219,809.
In particular, TelecomInvest will supply the state operator with telecommunication equipment, software, and also will render relevant implementation services.
The company made this procurement with help of the simplified tender procedure (procurement from one bidder).
DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) is a technology of transfer and multiplexing in one optic fiber of several optic signals with different wavelengths.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukrtelecom in September announced the intention to reach agreement with TelecomInvest on upgrading its trunk DWDM network.
The TelecomInvest open joint-stock company was founded in 1996. It specialises in building and technical maintenance of local telephony lines in Kyiv and also develops and supplies software.
Ukrtelecom owns 25.9% of shares in it, and OWU AG (Switzerland) 74%.
