The Huawei Mate XT is a one-of-a-kind triple-folding phone that was unveiled in China this week and will become commercially available to customers later this month.
The company didn’t mention anything about a global launch, which led us to believe that it might be limited to the local market. However, unexpectedly, teasers and videos have appeared on Huawei ‘s global social media page, hinting at the likely wide availability of the new product. Therefore, the gadget is expected in Ukraine.
Huawei Mate XT is to enter global markets
Huawei’s global X-branded unit has shared promotional images of the Mate XT tri-folding phone, but nothing directly indicating a global launch. In addition, the brand shared a short video on YouTube that showcases the premium design of the foldable phone and the technological advancements that make the phone a one-piece.
Again, even in the short video, there is no mention of a global launch. However, there is a possibility that these teasers can be seen as preparations for the global launch of the Mate XT, but on the other hand, the brand may simply inform its global audience about the latest innovation in the foldable tablet segment.
The company has scheduled the launch of the Huawei Mate Pad for September 19 with a focus on the new Glide Keyboard. The tweet also mentions that there are surprises waiting for us, so let’s wait for them.
Specifications of Huawei Mate XT
The Huawei Mate XT has a 6.4-inch single screen when folded, a 7.9-inch dual display with 2K resolution, and a large 10.2-inch tablet screen with 3K resolution.
The gadget has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel periscope telescope with 5.5x zoom and OIS. The front panel has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats.
The foldable phone has a 5600 mAh battery with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Connectivity: 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, NavIC, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C. It runs on Harmony 4.2.
Price and availability
Huawei Mate XT in China starts at 19999 yuan and is currently available for pre-order. Customers can purchase the phone starting September 20.
