The Ukrainian company Oko Camera produces thermal imagers for drones, robots and other military equipment. Their cameras provide a clear picture even in extremely difficult conditions of low visibility, extreme temperatures, and darkness.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. According to him, the military actively uses Oko Camera products for night reconnaissance and targeting.
The company closes the full production cycle on its own, responds to feedback from the military and quickly adapts products to their needs.
“The feedback from the front is positive. The military recall cases when, during night reconnaissance in difficult weather conditions, the cameras detected targets at a long distance, when traditional surveillance equipment could not cope with this task,” the official said.
Brave1 helped the team raise funding for research and development, and introduced them to experts who helped integrate their products into military systems. And this year, Oko Camera took first place at Defense Startup Track IT Arena 2024.
The main goal of Oko Camera now is to provide manufacturers and the military with effective thermal imaging technologies, as they provide an asymmetric advantage on the battlefield.
“Brave1 supports the developments that soldiers need at the front. If you have your own development or are working on this track, please join us,” urges Fedorov.
