The United States has pledged the largest financial support to Ukraine so far: €71 billion in military, financial and humanitarian aid since the beginning of 2022.
Data from the IFW Kiel Ukraine Support Tracker shows that EU institutions were the second largest donor (€35 billion), followed by the UK and Germany (€11 billion each) and Japan ($7 billion). Statista has prepared an infographic.
At the same time, if we estimate bilateral aid as a percentage of GDP, the Baltic countries are ahead:
- Estonia – 1.3 percent of GDP,
- Latvia – 1.1% of GDP,
- Lithuania – 1.0% of GDP.
The United States ranks 12th, with aid amounting to 0.3 percent of GDP.
