In December 2023, Kyivstar and Telesens will celebrate 20 years of successful cooperation, which began on February 28, 2003, with the signing of a contract for the implementation of the T-IC (Tinterconnect) product.
“Twenty years ago, Kyivstar was the first Ukrainian telecom operator to believe in a young company with a challenging startup project. For us, our customers always come first, and over these twenty years we have not lost their trust, which has become our best recommendation,” said Eduard Rubin, founder of Telesens.
History of cooperation
In the early 2000s, there were about 15 companies in the world that had their own Interconnect Billing System product development, and Telesens was one of them. Moreover, Telesens was the first and only Ukrainian company to create such a product for the foreign market.
Among all possible partners, Kyivstar chose a Ukrainian partner with experience and expertise in implementing Interconnect for telecom operators. It is important to note that Kyivstar is the first operator in the Ukrainian market to implement such a system.
This solution was innovative, as it was the Interconnect system that made it possible to quickly and efficiently charge for calls and automate the process of settlements between telecom operators.
Over the 20 years of cooperation, T-IC (Tinterconnect) has been improving and growing together with Kyivstar. In 2003, Kyivstar served 2.5 million subscribers, and today this number has increased 10 times to 24.1 million.
“For twenty years of fruitful cooperation, professionals from the Telesens team have repeatedly proved that IT products created in Ukraine by our compatriots are in no way inferior to their global counterparts, and in some respects even surpass them,” said Andriy Zhukovsky, CIO of Kyivstar.
In his opinion, understanding the client’s needs and the ability to meet them in the shortest possible time and with consistently high quality distinguishes Telesens as a reliable partner of Kyivstar.
System optimization
Continuous growth has prompted Telesens to optimize its system so that it can run smoothly and handle the increasing traffic volume, and the Telesens system handles more than 1 billion events that pass through the operator’s equipment every month.
Throughout the entire period of cooperation, Telesens has been constantly introducing a number of improvements and enhancements that allow us to increase the system’s performance and functionality in line with the growing needs of the partner.
In addition to the longest-running T-IC (Tinterconnect) project, Telesens has developed and implemented the following modules for Kyivstar:
- Content Partner Management, which allows you to make payments to content providers that provide services to subscribers through a telecom operator;
- Automated downloading of price lists within the Traffic Trade Management system, which allows you to quickly track changes in international carriers’ tariffs;
- T-Collation (T-C), which automates the process of reconciling detailed data of missed traffic with partner data when settling mutual settlements with connected operators.
The cooperation between Telesens and Kyivstar is not limited to product implementation and support. Developers and specialists constantly interact with Kyivstar team, receive feedback and offer new ideas for further joint development.
