Sonos chief innovation officer Nick Millington said in an update published yesterday that he and his team are “100% focused” on understanding and resolving the issues with the Sonos app. It’s the latest in a series of posts from Millington sharing the progress of his team as they try to restore features that were lost during a controversial redesign of the app last May.
Millington says that users sharing diagnostic information has “sharpened” the team’s focus, leading to several improvements. In previous updates on the page, starting in October, he promised that several features, such as alarm snoozing, better queue management, and playlist editing, were on the way. He notes that you’ll be able to snooze again, and says that users will be able to check the battery power of Sonos Move and Roam portable speakers when they’re in standby mode.
But the work is slow, and Sonos still hasn’t added playlist editing or the ability for users to queue up an entire folder from their local music library. According to Millington, both features will appear in “future versions.”
