At the end of 2021, Sky Glass was released, an all-in-one TV with a six-speaker soundbar and 4K Quantum Dot Display. Now the system is getting its successor: Sky Glass Gen 2. One of the biggest improvements is the sound quality, thanks to a Dolby Atmos sound system with seven speakers, including a new dual subwoofer.
The second-generation Sky Glass also has a brighter 4K Quantum Dot display, wider viewing angle and better contrast. It has a new stand that simply slides right into the TV without any nuts or screws. The TV also now mounts on universal wall brackets.
Many things remain unchanged between the new and previous model. The basic TV offerings remain the same: Sky Originals, Sky Exclusives and access to applications such as BBC iPlayer and Netflix. The new model also retains the Playlist feature, which allows you to add your favorite shows and movies to a separate tab. In addition, it is still available in 43-, 55- and 65-inch models. However, Gen 2 is available in three new colors: Volcanic Gray, Arctic Silver, and Atlantic Blue.
Purchase the 43-inch Sky Glass Gen 2 model for £699, the 55-inch model for £949, or the 65-inch model for £1,199.
