Samsung will re-release Galaxy Watch 4 in 2024

Recently, there was a report that Samsung may release a new smartwatch called Galaxy Watch FE. It is said to have similar features to the Galaxy Watch 4. But it turns out that Samsung may release a rebranded version of the Galaxy Watch 4 in 2021, not a new FE model.

A reliable source, Max Jambor, clarified on X/Twitter that there will be no “FE” version, and the upcoming watch will actually be a re-release of the 2021 Galaxy Watch 4.

This news coincides with earlier rumors from whistleblower Roland Kuandt, who reported in February that Samsung may release a new version of the Galaxy Watch 4 in 2024.

It’s not new for Samsung to release new iterations of their products. For example, they recently released the Tab S6 Lite (2024), which is the third version of the original Tab S6 Lite from 2020. These updated versions often have similar features to previous models.

If these reports are accurate, the upcoming Galaxy Watch will likely share many features with the 2021 Galaxy Watch 4.

The original Galaxy Watch 4 is available in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes. It features Samsung’s Exynos W920 chipset, advanced health tracking capabilities such as body composition measurement and sleep tracking, runs on Wear OS 3, and has a round Super AMOLED display.

Whether or not the Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) will be a worthy addition to Samsung’s existing range of wearables depends largely on its price and any minor improvements Samsung may include.

There is currently no official release date or pricing information for the Galaxy Watch 4 (2024). Stay tuned for potential announcements and updates from Samsung.
