Last week, trusted whistleblower Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @onleaks) published renders of a new Oppo smartphone called the Oppo A3 Pro 5G. Now the brand has officially announced the A3 Pro 5G launch date in China, as well as revealed the design and color options.
Via its official Weibo page, Oppo has announced that the upcoming Oppo A3 Pro smartphone will debut on April 12 in China at 14:30 local time. Ahead of the A3 Pro, Redmi will debut the Redmi Turbo 3 on April 10, while the Oppo Realme sub-brand will unveil its GT Neo 6 SE smartphone on April 11.
The brand also announced three color options for Oppo A3 Pro, namely: Azure, Yun Jin Powder (pink), and Mountain Blue. Looking at the design, the Azure variant will feature a glass finish, while the Yun Jin Powder (pink) and Mountain Blue variants will have a vegan leather back.
While specs and features of the new device are still scarce, we do know that it will measure 162.7 x 74.5 x 7.8 mm and feature a 6.7-inch display. On the front, it will have ultra-thin bezels with a centered camera with a hole. With that said, we can take a look at its predecessor, the Oppo A2 Pro, to get an idea of what to expect.

The Oppo A2 Pro debuted in September 2023 with a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution, 920 nits peak brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Dimensity 7050 SoC, which is paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The optics consist of a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor paired with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that provides support for fast charting with 67W of power. It debuted with ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 out of the box, has Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, and is IP54 water and dust resistant.
